Communications Survey
On May 5, 2026, Avon Lake voters did not approve Issue 13, a proposed additional 0.4% income tax that would have created a dedicated funding source for the City’s Roads and Capital Improvements Program. Following the election, the City deployed a communications survey to better understand community perceptions regarding the Issue 13 proposal and identify opportunities to improve communication, transparency, and public engagement.
The survey was made available to Avon Lake residents via the City website from June 4 through July 6, 2026, and shared through the City's social media accounts and email newsletter. It received nearly 500 responses.
